EDITION Plastic Surgery

Frequently Asked Questions

How is the cost of plastic surgery determined?

It varies from person to person depending on the scope of surgery and the materials used. Even for the same nose surgery, the steps required differ depending on whether autologous costal cartilage or septal cartilage is used and whether it is a revision or a first surgery. That is why we explain the cost only after the surgical plan is set through an in-person consultation and 3D CT analysis.

Can I make a decision based only on the prices on this page?

This page is a disclosure of non-covered treatment fees under Article 42-2 of the Enforcement Rules of the Medical Service Act, showing the range for each item. Actual costs are confirmed only once the scope of surgery and materials are determined, so please use this page only as a general reference and confirm at your consultation.

Who will explain the cost to me?

Our consultation manager provides general cost information. Dr. Daehee Han personally handles the medical and surgical consultation, the surgery itself, and follow-up, and once the surgical plan is set, the consultation manager explains the cost.

Can I ask for an approximate cost by phone or WhatsApp?

You can make simple price inquiries through WhatsApp. However, for surgery the scope cannot be determined without seeing your condition, so the exact amount is provided after an in-person consultation.

When will I know the exact cost?

It is once the surgical method and scope have been determined through an in-person consultation and 3D CT analysis. During the consultation, we explain which method is needed and which materials will be used, and then provide the corresponding cost.

Why does the cost differ from person to person for the same surgery?

This is because the scope of surgery and the materials used differ. For example, in revision rhinoplasty, the steps required vary with how much the tissue was altered by previous surgery, and the surgical plan differs depending on whether autologous costal cartilage is used. That is why we confirm the structure with a 3D CT scan before making an individual plan.

Is there a fee for a consultation?

Consultation and examination fees will be explained when you book your consultation. If you contact us by phone at +82-2-591-0100 or through WhatsApp, you can check them before your visit.

Are there any additional costs later beyond the amount I was first quoted?

Once your surgical plan is set, you can check at the consultation what is and is not included in the quoted price. Whether items such as examinations, anesthesia, and prescriptions are included varies by type of surgery, so we will explain this at the consultation.

What payment methods are available?

Payment methods and timing will be explained during your consultation. If you have any questions, you can contact us in advance at +82-2-591-0100.

Is plastic surgery covered by insurance?

Surgery for cosmetic purposes is a non-covered service and is not covered by insurance. However, if functional problems are corrected at the same time, this may vary depending on the diagnosis, so we will check whether it applies during the consultation.

Is it covered by insurance if there is a functional problem such as a deviated septum?

Depending on the diagnosis, private medical insurance may partially apply, which varies by your policy and the insurer's review. At Edition, we perform functional rhinoplasty that combines deviated septum correction with aesthetic improvement, and whether coverage applies is checked during consultation after diagnosis.

Can I get the documents needed for an insurance claim?

We will explain the types of documents required and how to obtain them during your consultation. Because the required documents differ depending on your insurance policy, checking with your insurer first will speed up the process.

Is it okay to get a quote and compare it with other clinics?

Yes, that's fine. A consultation is not a place where you have to decide, so feel free to think it over with the information you received and contact us afterward. However, rather than comparing prices alone, it is more helpful to also compare what method is planned and to what extent.

Does revision surgery cost more?

Revision surgery is performed on tissue already altered by previous surgery, so the required steps may differ, and the materials used, such as autologous rib cartilage, may also differ. We check your current structure and the condition of any previous implant or contracture with 3D CT before explaining the surgical plan and cost.

Can I also check the cost of skin and petit procedures here?

Items registered as non-covered medical fees can be found on this page. Skin and petit procedures vary depending on the product used and the number of shots, so you can find out the details through a consultation with Director Jang Jaehoon and information from our consultation manager.

How can I check the cost of items not listed on this page?

Please contact us by phone at +82-2-591-0100 or through WhatsApp and we will guide you. Because the scope of a surgical procedure depends on your condition, it is more accurate to confirm it at an in-person consultation.

Why do you disclose non-covered medical fees?

Under Article 42-2 of the Enforcement Rules of the Medical Service Act, non-covered treatment fees must be disclosed and updated without delay when they change. The items and last-modified date shown on this page are displayed exactly as registered by the clinic.
