Frequently Asked Questions

What is Onda treatment?

Onda is a non-surgical procedure that uses microwave energy to improve cellulite and enhance skin elasticity to contour the body. You can manage fat while simultaneously improving elasticity.

Is it more effective when combined with fat-dissolving injections?

While areas like the abdomen can show results with fat-dissolving injections alone, combining them with Onda—which improves cellulite and enhances elasticity—allows for more efficient fat reduction while simultaneously addressing elasticity.

Does it also help with facial V-line improvement?

For V-line improvement, facial fat-dissolving injections and jaw Botox are sometimes planned together with Onda lifting. Design is determined through consultation based on area and condition.

How does microwave lifting work?

It delivers microwave energy to the tissue to improve cellulite while also improving firmness. Because it does not pull tissue with threads or involve an incision, it is used as a complementary treatment for areas where you want to refine the contour.

Which areas can be treated?

It is used not only for facial contours but also for areas such as the abdomen where cellulite and loss of firmness are both concerns. The energy level and treatment approach are designed according to the area and your condition.

How is it different from ultrasound and radiofrequency lifting?

Ultrasound lifting delivers energy to deeper layers beneath the skin and radiofrequency lifting induces collagen regeneration in the dermis, while microwave is used to address both fat and elasticity. The choice depends on whether your concern is sagging, elasticity, or localized fat.

How long does the procedure take, and is anesthesia used?

It usually takes about 20–40 minutes, and topical anesthetic cream can be used if needed. The time may vary depending on the size of the treatment area.

Can I resume daily activities right after Onda?

You can resume daily activities right after the procedure. However, there may be temporary redness, warmth, and swelling, which mostly subside within a few days, and responses vary from person to person.

When can I exercise or use a sauna after Onda?

The decision is made after observing how the warmth and redness subside. Because it can vary with the area and the amount of energy delivered, we will let you know individually in the post-procedure instructions.

Can it help with a double chin?

A double chin has various causes. It can help when the double chin results from loss of skin elasticity, but a double chin caused by the weight of the fat layer needs to be treated together with fat-dissolving injections to help refine the contour.

Can I have it together with thread lifting?

After thread lifting, it is safer to have device-based treatments only after the period in which the threads settle into the tissue has passed. The timing depends on which threads were placed and when, so we check this at the consultation before making a plan.

I'm concerned about cellulite. Can this help?

Onda is a procedure that targets both cellulite improvement and firmness. However, the degree of change varies from person to person depending on the area, skin condition, and fat distribution, so the treatment design is decided at the consultation.

About how many sessions should I get?

It depends on the area and your condition. We decide the next session after checking your progress, and if combined treatments such as fat-dissolving injections are involved, we plan them together with that schedule.

My sagging is fairly severe. Is Onda alone enough?

Because Onda manages fat and firmness together, it may have limits in reversing sagging where the tissue has descended considerably. After checking whether the cause of sagging is the skin, a shift in fat position, or laxity of the retaining ligaments, we will discuss other options with you.

What reactions can occur after Onda?

You may experience temporary redness, warmth, or swelling, which usually subsides within a few days. Because responses and results vary from person to person, we proceed while monitoring your progress.

How much does Onda cost?

It depends on the area and the amount of energy. After the treatment is designed during the consultation, our consultation manager will explain the cost.

How does the consultation work?

We first check the condition of the area and the direction you want, and discuss whether to combine treatments such as fat-dissolving injections or Botox. We then perform the treatment on the designed area and explain your progress and how to care for it.
