Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Do the Results of RF Lifting (Densithi) Last?
Results are visible immediately after treatment and become increasingly firm over time. Collagen regeneration becomes particularly active after 4-6 weeks, and the effects generally last 6 months to 1 year, though duration varies by individual. For more active maintenance, treatments spaced 6·9 months apart are also recommended.
Can it be performed simultaneously with Ulthera (ultrasound)?
RF lifting and HIFU lifting reach different layers, so they are sometimes planned together. Since choosing the right device and shot count for area-specific plans (double chin, jawline, etc.) depends on the individual face, please consult your doctor before proceeding.
What treatments are recommended for under-eye sagging and wrinkles?
Under-eye sagging and wrinkles are related to reduced skin elasticity and collagen loss, so treatments that address these concerns are recommended. Densiti is an excellent lifting laser option, and combining it with skin boosters such as Juvelook that promote collagen production can be more effective.
How does radiofrequency lifting work?
It delivers radiofrequency energy to the dermis to apply heat, and that stimulation induces collagen regeneration. Unlike ultrasound or thread lifting, it does not physically pull tissue but encourages the skin to restore its own elasticity.
How many sessions do I need?
You can see a change even after one session, but collagen regeneration takes place over 4–6 weeks, so we decide the next timing while monitoring your progress. If you want more active care, sessions can also be done at 6- and 9-month intervals.
Which should I get first, ultrasound lifting or radiofrequency lifting?
They reach different layers. Ultrasound reaches the deeper layers beneath the skin, while radiofrequency stimulates collagen in the dermis. The order depends on whether sagging is prominent or overall loss of elasticity is the concern, and they are sometimes performed at the same time.
What is the difference between Thermage and Density?
Both are devices that use radiofrequency to induce collagen regeneration in the dermis, but they differ in how energy is delivered and how treatment areas are designed. We decide which device is suitable during the consultation after checking your skin condition and the treatment area.
How is the number of shots determined?
Thermage is offered in 300, 600, and 900 shots for the face and Thermage Eye in 225 and 450 shots for the eye area, while Density High is offered in 300 and 600 shots. Treatment is designed according to the area and your skin condition, and the cost depends on the number of shots.
I had thread lifting. When can I have radiofrequency lifting?
After thread lifting, it is best to wait at least 4 to 6 weeks before proceeding. This is the period in which the threads settle into the tissue, and we do not perform it within 4 weeks.
Which is right for me: thread lifting or radiofrequency lifting?
Thread lifting is a procedure that repositions sagging tissue, while radiofrequency lifting is a procedure that encourages the skin to regain elasticity. The choice depends on whether your main concern is sagging or loss of elasticity, and the two are sometimes combined in sequence.
How many days after the procedure can I resume daily activities?
You can resume daily activities right after the procedure. However, there may be temporary redness and a tingling sensation, and the degree of response varies from person to person.
How painful is it, and what anesthesia is used?
Pain is controlled with topical anesthesia and injected anesthesia during the procedure. You may feel warmth, and how pain is felt varies from person to person, so we adjust the energy while checking your response during the treatment.
Can it also be done around the eyes?
For the eye area, we use Thermage Eye at 225 or 450 shots. If loss of elasticity under the eyes or fine lines are your concern, we design the treatment area and number of shots during the consultation.
I've had filler. Can I get radiofrequency lifting?
Whether and when to proceed is decided after checking the type and timing of previous procedures and the current condition of the tissue. If you tell us at the consultation what procedures you had and when, we will plan accordingly.
Can it help with a double chin and jawline?
When radiofrequency and ultrasound lifting are performed together, they are often used to improve a double chin and the jawline. However, a double chin caused mainly by the weight of fat may require another method in combination, so identifying the cause comes first.
How much does radiofrequency lifting cost?
It depends on the device, the area, and the number of shots. After a treatment plan is designed during consultation, our consultation manager will explain the cost.
What reactions can occur after radiofrequency lifting?
You may experience temporary redness, swelling, or a tingling sensation, which usually subsides within a few days. Because responses vary from person to person, we proceed while monitoring your progress.
