Frequently Asked Questions

How is it different from regular skin boosters?

While regular skin boosters inject a single ingredient, high-end skin boosters combine multiple premium ingredients customized for each patient with multi-layer injection. The depth and duration of effects are different.

Can I see results from a single treatment?

You can experience visible skin transformation from just one session. Optimal number of sessions will be advised individually during consultation.

Will daily life be affected after treatment?

Slight redness and swelling may occur for 1-3 days after treatment, but most recover quickly. We recommend treatment 3-5 days before important events.

How do Ulthera and Thermage differ?

Ulthera is a device that uses ultrasound, and Thermage uses radiofrequency. Ultrasound focuses energy on a single point to target deep layers, whereas radiofrequency heats a wide area to induce collagen regeneration in the dermis, so they address different layers and feel different.

Should I choose ultrasound or radiofrequency?

The choice depends on whether you want to lift a specific area because of noticeable sagging, or refine overall elasticity and skin texture. Which option suits you also depends on skin thickness and the amount of fat, so we decide after assessing your condition.

Can I get ultrasound and radiofrequency lifting together?

The two methods target different layers, so they are sometimes planned together. However, since the right device and intensity differ by face, the combination is decided only after consulting the treating doctor.

When do the effects of ultrasound lifting appear?

The change is not dramatic immediately after the procedure; a tightening sensation generally starts to appear around 3 weeks. Changes continue over several months as collagen remodeling progresses, and the degree varies from person to person.

Is sedation required for Ulthera?

Our clinic does not recommend sedation. Performing the treatment without being able to see the patient's responses increases the risk of nerve damage or burns. We manage pain with topical anesthesia, injection anesthesia, vibration anesthesia, and similar methods.

How is the number of shots determined?

The number of shots needed differs depending on the area, skin thickness, and degree of sagging. Rather than setting a number first and fitting the treatment to it, we design it based on your condition, so the exact number of shots will be explained during the consultation.

There are many devices. How do you decide which one is right for me?

What matters first is not the device name but what the problem in your skin is right now. Whether it is sagging, volume loss, or skin texture determines the energy and the layer we target, so we design the combination and sequence after diagnosis.

What are the benefits of designing multiple procedures at once?

Because the epidermis, dermis, and fat layer age together, a single method leaves some layers unreached. By combining the treatments each layer needs and setting the order and intervals, they can build on each other without interfering.

I had thread lifting. Can I have device-based lifting treatments?

After thread lifting, time is needed for the threads to settle and skin to stabilize; whether to combine other treatments afterward is decided in consultation. Since timing varies by thread type, swelling, and skin condition, please proceed after consulting your doctor.

Does it help to combine a lifting treatment with skin boosters?

Supplementing hydration and regenerative ingredients with a skin booster while an energy device stimulates collagen regeneration allows different aspects to be addressed together. However, whether to do both on the same day or space them out is decided based on the burden on your skin.

I have an important event coming up. How far in advance should I get it?

Redness and swelling may last 1 to 3 days after the procedure, so we recommend having it 3 to 5 days before an important event. However, changes from collagen regeneration appear over several weeks, so if you have time, it is better to start earlier.

How is the high-end program structured?

Rather than a fixed set, we design a 1:1 combination of skin boosters, collagen boosters, and regenerative factors based on your skin diagnosis. After the treatment, we finish with regeneration-promoting care such as LDM and LED, along with soothing care.

How do I choose where to get a lifting treatment in Gangnam?

More important than whether a clinic owns a device is who uses it and by what standards. We recommend also checking whether the skin condition is assessed in person before treatment, whether you are told when a treatment is not recommended because of risk, and whether your progress is followed up.

How long does the lifting effect last?

The change peaks between 2 and 6 months, when collagen remodeling is complete, and then gradually fades as aging continues. How long it lasts varies from person to person, so we discuss the timing of your next session while monitoring your progress.
