Frequently Asked Questions

Why should skin treatments be performed by a specialist?

Board-certified plastic surgeons have a detailed understanding of facial anatomy (blood vessels, nerves, and fascia), which lowers the risk of side effects during injection procedures such as fillers and Botox.

What is thread lifting?

This is a non-incisional lifting procedure that involves inserting special medical threads under the skin to lift sagging skin. Since it's performed without incisions, recovery is fast, and as the threads are absorbed, collagen regeneration is promoted, which can also lead to improved skin elasticity.

How long do thread lift results last?

It depends on the type of thread used. PDO threads last about 6-8 months, and Silhouette Soft and Aptos threads last about 1 year to 1 year 6 months. The duration may differ depending on individual skin elasticity and the degree of aging.

When can I return to daily life after thread lifting?

You can return to daily life on the day of or the day after the procedure. Mild swelling and bruising will naturally subside within 3-7 days. Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, and facial massages for 2 weeks after the procedure.

How do I verify genuine products and accurate dosage?

Before the procedure, we show you the genuine product box and confirm the opening process together. Any remaining medication after use is discarded and not used on other patients.

Worried about side effects from Botox or fillers?

Board-certified plastic surgeons know the anatomical locations of facial blood vessels and nerves in detail, which lowers the risk of side effects such as intravascular injection. All injection procedures are performed by a doctor personally, and any side effects are addressed immediately.

When can I wash my face and apply makeup after thread lifting?

Light cleansing is possible 24 hours after the procedure, and makeup can be applied after 3 days. Avoid rubbing or pressing the treated area for 2 weeks. Sunscreen is recommended from the day after the procedure.

Can I receive multiple procedures on the same day?

Yes, it's possible. A combination of thread lifting for overall lift, Botox for wrinkle reduction, and fillers for volume is effective. Edition designs optimal combination treatment plans based on the patient's condition.

What if the procedure results don't meet expectations?

We monitor your progress after the procedure, and if further enhancement is needed, we will consult with you and guide you to the optimal method. Edition is committed to responsible aftercare.

How long do the effects of thread lifting last?

It depends on the type of thread used. PDO threads last about 6-8 months, and Silhouette Soft and Aptos threads last about 1 year to 1 year 6 months. The duration may differ depending on individual skin elasticity and the degree of aging.

Which doctor handles skin and petit procedures?

Skin and petit procedures, including fillers, Botox, skin boosters, and device-based lifting treatments, are handled by Dr. Jang Jaehoon. Thread lifts and surgical care are handled by Dr. Daehee Han.

What is Dr. Jang Jaehoon's background?

Completed a bachelor's degree at Korea University and a master's degree in medicine at the Kyung Hee University School of Medicine Graduate School of Medicine, and served as chief resident at Kyung Hee University Medical Center. Subsequently served as General Director of Dermatology at Onecell Clinic, General Director of Dermatology (Center Director) at Pleasure Plastic Surgery, Director of Sinnonhyeon Ppeum Clinic, and Head of Department at Suncheon Medical Center. A full member of the Korean Society for Laser, Dermatology and Trichology, and a member of the Korean Academy of Clinical Aesthetic Medicine, the Korean Society of Obesity and Aesthetic Surgery, and the Korean Society of Aesthetic Surgery.

What skin and petit procedures are available?

We offer skin boosters (Rejuran, Juvelook, exosomes), Potenza, Double Tite, Botox and fillers, and Ulthera and Thermage. In addition, radiofrequency lifting (Density), Onda, skin Botox, fat-dissolving injections, and more are recommended after consultation according to your condition.

Can I have surgery and skin procedures together?

It depends on your condition and timing. The surgical site and recovery status need to be checked first, so the order is decided at the consultation. For example, radiofrequency lifting (Density) after thread lifting is performed only after at least 4 to 6 weeks, never within 4 weeks.

How are filler and Botox different?

Filler is an injection that restores volume in hollow areas to refine contours, while Botox is an injection that relaxes muscle movement to soften expression lines or reduce the bulk of developed muscles. Because the purposes differ, depending on your condition we may do only one or both together.

What is a skin booster?

This treatment injects active ingredients directly into the skin to improve texture, hydration, and elasticity. At Edition, we use Rejuran, Juvelook, and exosomes; Rizne has the same ingredient as Rejuran in a different concentration. Effects and how long they last vary from person to person.

What is the difference between Ulthera and Thermage?

Ulthera uses ultrasound and Thermage uses radiofrequency, and their thermal energy reaches different layers. At Edition, Ulthera is offered in 100-shot units and Thermage in 300, 600, and 900 shots, and which device to use and how many shots are decided at the consultation after assessing your skin condition.

How can I check the cost of skin treatments?

It depends on the type of procedure, the product used, and the number of shots. Our consultation manager can give you a general idea of cost, and you can also contact us through WhatsApp. Non-covered treatment fees can be found on the cost information page of our website.
