Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I get skin care treatments?
Regular care at 1-2 week intervals is generally recommended. Can be adjusted to weekly intensive care or bi-weekly maintenance depending on skin condition.
What's the difference between Aquapeel and Larapeel?
Aquapeel removes pore impurities and provides hydration with AHA/BHA solution, while Larapeel gently removes dead skin cells with a mild peeling agent to refine skin texture.
How does LDM work?
LDM (Local Dynamic Micro-massage) uses ultrasound vibration to increase cell membrane permeability and aid ingredient penetration. It's used in various modes for regeneration, redness, acne, and lifting.
I have severe acne - which treatment should I get?
Depending on acne severity, we recommend acne extraction, sebum improvement PDT, or the 4-week problematic skin program. We'll check your skin condition during consultation and guide you to the optimal program.
Can I apply makeup immediately after treatment?
Most skin care treatments allow immediate return to daily life. However, for peeling treatments, only light makeup is recommended on the same day, and sunscreen use is essential.
What is the difference between medical skincare at a clinic and aesthetic spa care?
Skincare at our clinic differs in that the medical team first diagnoses your skin condition before setting the program, and medical devices such as Aqua Peel, Lara Peel, and LDM are used. We set the direction of care by looking at both your treatment history and your skin concerns.
Isn't skincare at home enough?
Cosmetics mainly work on the skin surface, so they are limited when thick buildup of dead skin or debris in the pores is the problem. Clearing it up with in-clinic care puts your skin in a state that absorbs home care better, so it is best to consider both together.
What should I pay attention to at home after the treatment?
Please use sunscreen every day, and if you had a peel, pay more attention than usual to moisturizing for a few days. Right after treatment, it is best to avoid forcibly rubbing off dead skin or starting new irritating products.
My makeup doesn't sit well and my skin flakes. What care is right for me?
If dead skin cells have built up and made your skin texture rough, the usual order is to refine it with peel-type care and then replenish moisture. However, the approach differs depending on whether the flaking is caused by dryness or something else, so the program is decided after diagnosis.
Sebum in my pores is a concern. What kind of care is best?
For impurities inside pores, Aqua Peel is used to deep-cleanse with AHA and BHA while supplying moisture at the same time. If sebum production is high and accompanied by acne, extraction care or a sebum-control program is also considered.
I have redness. Can I still get skincare treatments?
LDM has a mode designed for redness, so it can be used on skin prone to flushing. However, harsh peels may need to be avoided, so we adjust the program after checking your skin condition.
My skin is sensitive. Can I get a peel?
Lara Peel uses a low-irritation peeling agent to gently refine dead skin cells, making it an option even for sensitive skin. However, depending on the degree and cause of sensitivity, we may adjust the strength or recommend a different treatment first.
What treatments are available for pigmentation or blemishes?
Brightening care is a program that manages skin tone by using iontophoresis to help vitamin C-based ingredients penetrate the skin. However, depending on the type of pigmentation, skincare alone may have limitations, so we will advise you after diagnosis.
Is it helpful to receive skin care before or after a procedure or surgery?
Some patients receive skin care to prepare their skin condition before and after a procedure. However, when it is possible depends on the type of procedure and your recovery, so please tell us what procedure you had and when.
How is acne extraction different from squeezing pimples myself?
During the treatment, sebum is softened thoroughly and then extracted with hygienic instruments, followed by LED and soothing care to finish. Forcefully squeezing by hand can deepen inflammation or leave scars, so we do not recommend it.
How many sessions does it take to see a difference?
You can feel improved skin texture and hydration right after the treatment, but problems that build up over time — such as sebum, dead skin cells, and pigmentation — need regular, repeated care for your skin to stabilize. The number of sessions and the interval are decided during your consultation based on your skin condition.
Why do you keep emphasizing sun protection?
After a peel or exfoliation, the skin becomes more sensitive to UV light, which can lead to pigmentation. Sun protection is also the most basic step in maintaining the improvement from treatment.
