Frequently Asked Questions
What surgeries does Edition Plastic Surgery mainly perform?
Focusing on revision rhinoplasty (using autologous rib cartilage) and thread lifts, we perform plastic surgery across the face, including rhinoplasty, eye surgery, anti-aging facial surgery, and men's plastic surgery. Dr. Daehee Han, our representative director, personally provides 1:1 care from consultation through surgery and follow-up.
What examinations are performed before surgery?
We perform 3D CT (HDX WILL) scanning to precisely analyze the internal nasal structure (bone, cartilage, septum) and review previous surgical records. If needed, endoscopy confirms the nasal cavity condition, and blood tests and ECG assess anesthesia suitability.
How can I get pricing information?
Since costs vary by surgical scope and materials used, we provide accurate surgical plans and pricing after in-person consultation and 3D CT analysis. Simple price inquiries are available via WhatsApp, but surgical pricing is provided after consultation.
How long is the recovery period after surgery?
Splint removal takes 7 days, packing removal 2 days, and return to social activities is possible after about 2 weeks. Light exercise after 2 weeks, intense exercise after 4-6 weeks. Glasses can be worn after 4 weeks, and alcohol after 4 weeks.
How is post-operative follow-up managed?
Follow-up checks are scheduled at 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and 1 year after surgery. Antibiotics, painkillers and ointment are prescribed, and the systematic after-care programme at Edition Plastic Surgery Clinic helps improve satisfaction with the surgical outcome.

When did Edition Plastic Surgery open?
The clinic opened in 2023. Dr. Daehee Han's 18 years of clinical experience and the clinic's opening year are separate figures, so the 4,500+ rhinoplasty surgeries performed are stated as the director's career total (based on medical records from 2017 to 2025).
What should I look at when choosing a plastic surgery clinic?
It is best to start with facts you can verify. Ask whether the surgeon is a board-certified plastic surgeon, whether the consulting doctor also handles the surgery and follow-up, what is used for pre-surgery diagnosis, and whether a post-operative follow-up schedule is set. At Edition, we make sure you can confirm all four of these during consultation.
Can a 3D CT scan show the inside of the nose?
3D CT (HDX WILL) lets us view the nasal bone, cartilage, and septal structure in three dimensions. We can identify internal structures that photos of the outer appearance cannot show, and in revision cases, the position of a previous implant and the state of any contracture before surgery.
How are problems handled if they occur during surgery?
We first assess your fitness for anesthesia with pre-operative blood tests and an electrocardiogram, and check the medications you are taking and any underlying conditions. Dr. Daehee Han served in 2014 as a medical director for the emergency medical team at the 119 Integrated Disaster Prevention Center of the Fire Safety Headquarters. Operating room CCTV is operated as a legal requirement under the Medical Service Act.
After nose surgery, how many times do I need to visit the clinic?
Regular follow-up is scheduled at 1 day, 5 days, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months after surgery, with a separate visit for suture removal. Recovery speed varies from person to person, so the number of visits may differ depending on your condition, and in between you can consult us about your progress via WhatsApp.
How is the medical team organized?
CEO and board-certified plastic surgeon Daehee Han handles surgical care, while Director Jang Jaehoon is in charge of skin and petit procedures. General cost information is provided by our consultation manager.
What is the clinic's treatment philosophy?
We aim for natural results that take into account the proportions and harmony of the entire face. That is why, at the consultation, we tell you not only what options are possible but also when we would not recommend them, and if another approach is judged more suitable than surgery for your condition, we will advise you accordingly.
How is the operating room run?
Surgery proceeds after we confirm your fitness for anesthesia with pre-operative blood tests and an electrocardiogram, and Dr. Daehee Han personally performs the surgery. Operating room CCTV is operated in accordance with the legal requirement in effect since 09/2023.
Do you ever recommend alternatives to surgery?
Yes, we advise this depending on your condition. For example, nasolabial folds are often caused by lost volume rather than sagging, so thread lifting may not be the answer, and when skin sagging is advanced, a facelift may be a more suitable choice than thread lifting. During the consultation, we work out together the direction that fits your current condition.
